CONDITION: Like New Very Clean & Clear Light -Green- Tinged SUMMARY: RARE - Ball Ideal Commemorative Canning Jar - RARE NOT TO BE USED FOR CANNING DECORATION/STORAGE ONLY Capacity = 4 Gallons Height = 19 ½" (approx) Diameter = 9 ½" (approx) Top Opening = 3 5/8" (approx) With Glass Lid, Rubber Gasket & Lid Lock Hallmark: Ball Ideal Eagle Logo Approximate Age: Mid 1990's (Pictured with a 20 Fl Oz Drink Bottle) Up for sale is this Large RARE Commemorative Ball Canning Jar from the 1990's. This Giant Canning Jar features thick/heavy glass, glass lid, rubber gasket, metal lid lock (Wire-Bale), and has the "Ball Ideal" Hallmark on one side, and a large "Eagle Logo" on the opposite side. This was most likely a very limited edition display, or commemorative item. These are very rare, and hard to find, especially in this condition with the original lid included. Like NEW Condition, but has one, light surface scratch approx 1.5" in length, just above the second "L" in the word Ball. Using my magnifying glass there is also another extremely small area that looks as if a naturally occurring -bubble- in the glass formed too close to the surface leaving an area that you can feel by touching it.
