I'm offering this huge figurine by Zsolnay in the Eosin finish. It shows a girl leading three turkeys down a path. It is marked in gold on the bottom "Zsolnay, Pecs, Made in Hungary". Part of the mark is not legible. T are also an impressed mark "8996" on the bottom and the letter "E" scratched in by hand prior to the glaze being applied. T is also a name on the back of the base. It may be "Nagy". Due to lighting and flash, the figurine appears much more brown in the pictures than it actually is. The glaze is irridescent shades of greens and gold. The turkeys are more of a brown or gold with green highlights, and the girl's hair is a darker color. If you don't know the value and history of Zsolnay please research before bidding. Zsolnay has been manufactured since 1853 and is highly collectible. The figurine is in excellent condition except for the neck of one of the turkeys which has been repaired. I have taken a picture of this area so that you can see the repair. I have checked to make sure t are no other nicks, scratches or chips on it. I am selling the piece as found, so t is still some dust on it. This a very large figurine. The piece is over 10 1/2" tall, 7" from side to side and 8 " from front to rear.
