Featured in this lot is the three-figurine set of angel candleholders, named the Angel Trio, which are musically oriented and, ultimately, became part of the Hummel Little Band.The first two items are varieties of the Hummel figurine, Angel With Lute, number III/38/0, both carrying trademark #2 (Full Bee) . They sit about 2" tall while they hold their lutes. There are no cracks, chips, crazing or repairs on either figurine. The trademark and model number are seen on the bottom (Picture 4). The shoes in the two versions of the great little piece are two different colors: the lighter pair are the typical tan color while the darker pair are painted in the more rare purple color. The current edition of the Von Recklinghausen Price Guide shows a retail valuation range of $100-$125 each for this trademark.Second on the list is the Hummel figurine, Angel With Accordion, number III/39/0, trademark #3. This figurine is the same size as the first two and also has no cracks, chips, repairs, and also no crazing. The trademark and model number are as stated above for #III/38/0. Von Recklinghausen shows a retail valuation range for this item of $90-$100 for this trademark.Lastly, the lot includes the Hummel figurine, Angel With Trumpet, number III/40/0, trademark #2.
