I believe this to be an original pen & ink drawing by Hossein Behzad.I am not sure but this is what I have been told from the estate that I bought it from.I know that he was born in Tehran Iran in 1894.He was known minaturist in this type of art.It is very finely done and signed near the hand of the lower figure.Extremely high quality.I am not an expert in this field or knowledgeable to verify whether if this is the artist or not.It is an original pen and ink drawing for sure because I have put it under a loop.The drawing itself measures 4 1/4 in. by 7 1/2 in. with the frame it measures 10 1/2 in. by 7 in.It may be Turkish,Isnik Style, Mughal Art.The lady that I bought it from traveled all over the world collecting art.I am guessing about 50-60 yrs. old. |
