UP FOR AUCTION IS A IMPERIAL "LUSTRE ROSE" AMETHYST CARNIVAL GLASS FOOTED OCCASSIONAL BOWL. This Imperial "Lustre Rose" ftd. occassional bowl is in excellent condition having NO chips, OR cracks. This IMPERIAL "LUSTRE ROSE" AMETHYST CARNIVAL GLASS OCCASSIONAL BOWL is an early vintage glass antique bowl. This "Lustre Rose" pattern is seldom seen in a dark AMETHYST carnival glass iridescense, must say, this bowl speaks for itself, just beautiful color. I TOOK THE PICTURES OUT SIDE IN THE NATURAL SUNLIGHT. THE AMETHYST IS SHADING TO A DARKER DEEP PURPLE LUSTER. You can see this large and very highly collected pattern in the "Edwards & Carwile" book on carnival glass, the "STANDARD EXCYCLOPEDIA of CARNIVAL GLASS 7th EDITION, on page # 231.
