This is a banded slate Banner Stone found in southern Indiana. This artifact measure just over 3 3/4" in length and is in perfect condition with no modern damage. The material is a green slate with dark banding, good peck marks on the sides and excellent patination. It is completely drilled.History - Ex Gene Lentz, Ex Robert Griner (Robert Griner collection was put together in the 1940's. Reported to be in Who's Who #3 but not sure - I never checked).
