Oh boy, oh boy! All the true honey dish collectors know what this is! It is a beautiful dark yellow dish or box, with splayed legs, made by the Indiana Glass Company in the early 1900's. It is pre-Tiara! Tiara used Indiana Glass moulds, (like the one used to make this beautiful dish), to make their honey dishes-they just shortened the legs for easier mass production (after manufacturing only one splayed leg honey dish-in amber). Tfore, this dish is highly sought after and collected by Indiana Glass, Tiara, and honey dish lovers alike! The honey dish is a beautiful dark yellow. I took a pic of the dish beside a light yellow dish and an amber dish that I have so that you can see just how different the colors are.---this auction is for the dish on the left. The light yellow is in the center and the amber in on the right. The dish has the wonderful splayed legs, around 6in square, 6.5in tall with lid, has that wonderful bee motif, and is in wonderful condition for it's age! It has a few usual mold marks and air bubbles, but no chips, cracks, flea bites what so ever. The lid fits perfectly and the little feet are also perfect. Nice!
