Ingraham Antique Kitchen Mantel Clock This is a beautiful example of an Antique E. Ingraham Kitchen Mantel Clock in great original condition. This is a very beautiful clock. It was made circa 1900 or slightly earlier. It has a signed "Ingraham Clock Co" 8 day time and strike movement which sounds once on each half-hour and counts the hours on the hour on a gong , with a distinctive sound. The solid brass plates are heavy-duty and the movement runs great and keeps excellent time. The case is also extremely beautiful! The case looks much better than the pictures show. The case is made of solid wood (oak) with a beautiful hand carved design in beautiful condition with its very beautiful original finish. The glass is wavy and probably original with the original gold reverse painting. Very rare for these very old cases! The reverse painting is still in very nice condition (see pictures). The original dial is wonderful and crisp, easy to read, with a great patina and age spots over the original dial pan . It has an adjustment for fast and slow on the large pendulum (also original), which can be turned by the nut at the bottom of the pendulum. The clock comes with a key, that works great.
