Offered is this charming Irish Belleek china teapot in an all-over embossed design called Limpet. Like many Belleek designs, this one has its origins in the sea. A limpet is an aquatic snail with a cone-shaped shell. It looks somewhat like the shell at the base of the spout and on the lid.Marked with Belleek's 5 th mark, 1956-65.The teapot is ivory colored with pale yellow accents on the handle and finial.The teapot stands about 6.5 inches high (16.5 cm). It will hold 40 ounces of hot tea.Very good condition with no evidence of use. No damage of any kind.Questions welcomed. Thanks for looking.
