THIS SHEET MUSIC HAS BEEN AUTHENTICALLY HAND SIGNED BY JACK BENNY.................................. "Stop! You're Breaking My Heart"-1937-Famous Music-sheet music. This song was written and composed by Ted Koehler and Burton Lane.The song is featured in the 1937-Paramount Movie-"Artists And Models". The movie stars Jack Benny and he is featured on the front cover in an original scene.Jack Benny had one of his first starring film roles in this breezy comedy with plenty of music. Benny plays Mac Brewster, an advertising man trying to hold on to his biggest client, a silver company run by Alan Townshend (Richard Arlen). Elsew in the office, Paula Sewell (Ida Lupino) longs to compete in the Artists and Models Ball and win the title of Queen. However, professional models are frowned upon at the Ball, and all entrants must be debutantes, which is two strikes against Paula; besides, snooty Cynthia Wentworth (Gail Patrick) looks to be a shoo-in to win. But Paula has a plan, and if it works she'll have won more than a crown at the end of the night. Comedy stars Ben Blue and Judy Canova highlight the supporting cast; the great Louis Armstrong performs a tune with Martha Raye. The sheet music has been autographed on the front cover by Jack Benny in black fountain pen......BOTH SHEET MUSIC AND AUTOGRAPH ARE IN NICE CONDITION................. ............This autograph came from the Estate of Clark Gesner, the composer and lyricist whose defining success was the 1967 smash You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Mr. Gesner (1938-2002) began collecting in 1956 when he obtained the autograph of Clark Gable. From t, he built a collection of more than 10,000 autographs. He obtained the autographs in person, from autograph dealers , or by mail. Mr. Gesner was a well-known collector and shared his collection with Brooklyn Heights area churches, schools, senior citizen groups and other organizations. As such, this item does not come with a Certificate of Authenticity. .................. .Since it is impossible for me to obtain a Certificate of Authenticity from Mr.Gesner,I am including a photo of an acetate that he made for the Christmas of 1956.The label is in his own handwriting. The metal acetate is not for sale as part of this auction. I took the photo to add to the credibility of this item. .I have 20 more documents from his estate . With all of the legitimate possibilities available for dealers, I find it saddening and greatly disappointing that many organizations are short changing the public and insulting the industry with fraudulent paraphernalia and blatant forgeries. Such practices harm the entire autograph industry by undermining the trust of collectors. The dishonest business practices of these organizations allow them to offer bargain-basement prices to the inexperienced and unwary collector.......... I suggest that you NEVER buy anything from anyone whom sells an item by listing the sale with the "PRIVATE FEEDBACK" option. This is a tactic that some sellers are using to sell fraudulent items w they try and make you believe that they are only doing so to help protect the potential buyers' ebay ID and identity. The true reason that they use the "PRIVATE FEEDBACK" is to hide. Would you bid on anything in a public auction if you could not see whom you were bidding against? If one is selling a genuine autograph, and if any recognized dealer was also bidding upon it, most definitely the final bidding price would be far much higher at auctions' end!!!...................Many large companies with substantial advertising budgets say they buy autographs in mass quantities and disperse them to the public at wholesale prices............They have got to be kidding.......... I find these prices and quantities astounding considering the fact that most celebrities make it a habit to sign only one autograph per person.
