The XK 6-cylinder engine was reliable, powerful, reasonably pricedand readily available. Hence it was widely used to power specials for F1 singleseaters, racing boats & private builds such as dragsters. The MK7 and XJ6were regularly used in “Destruction Derby” & “Banger racing” Many sportscar manufacturers used it to power their cars. A unique experimental 4-cylinder development engine wasloaned to MG enabling them to set a speed record on the iconic Jabbeke/Aeltremotorway stretch closed to the public. A special XK120 “Buble” also set arecord on the same venue. The XK was thus named because it reached 120 MPH plus. This rare model, one of 360 plus items, is part of mychronological history in 1/43 scale of the Jaguar make started in 1950 andcovering the years from the 1920 Swallow sidecar to date. I am reluctantlyselling due to downsizing. Further rare, obsolete & unique models will beadded in due course. Although mentioned as opened packaging this was simply tofit the model in a new transparent display case instead of original cardboardor for photographic reasons OUTSIDE UK BUYERS PLEASE CONTACT ME FOR POSTAGE COST TO YOU.
