Reminiscent of the old west, this delightful sculpture is a FIGURE ON HORSEBACK by the famed artist Jan Cerny. The glass is a deep orange/red color. With a cut base and a cut and polished back. It has an etched signature of Prof Jan Cerny and an Art Czechoslovakia label. It radiates a charming aura. Display it alone or with other pieces.----------------Mold-melted glass sculpture by Jan Cerny (1907-1978). Professor Cerny was a teacher, sculptor and glass artist who is known for his modernist cubist creations in molten glass. His work is highly stylized with a sculptural approach. Many of his works are unique and one of a kind items.The condition of the sculpture is excellent with no chips or cracks. It measures 5.5 inches tall and 3.75 inches wide. Please see photos.
