Japan Classic Gallery Collection Figurine Lady w/ Bird My young English damsel is a Japanese porcelain figurine that was handcrafted by Napcoware. During a time of empiricism in England, the 1700s, she is dressed to express one's social position, attitude and class. True to the British tradition, a gentry English maiden would have dressed to the hilt, paying close attention to detail. Wearing a blue bonnet, beautiful corseted waist style gown that gave an hourglass enhancing shape, and traditional ringlet curls, she was ready for a spring afternoon with her bird in tow. Notice her blue shoes compliment her blue bonnet and bustle. The maker of this fine collectible used a pastel color palette to bring out the exquisite details in this fashion conscious young lady.
