This is a ceramic tea set that was made in Japan. The white background is accented with a sea scene in shades of blue and brown. A volcanic mountain can be seen in the background. Some characters are on each piece.The teapot stands approximately 5.5" tall with the lid on. It is about 4.75" tall with the lid off. The distance across is 6". The diameter of the opening and base is approximately 2.75". Japan is written on top of the lid as well as on the bottom. Each tea glass stands 3" tall with a top diameter of 2.25". The set is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
