Description This is a Japanese antique Wooden Tea caddy lacquer Chrysanthemum makie Natsume. This is Meiji period (1868-1912) item. The design of natsume is chrysanthemums in makie fashion by using real gold and various color powders. Makie work of the chrysanthemum which is novel and bold. Not only the design but also the delicate lacquer works inside of natsume . No outer box and can not identify the craftman. Still unique and geogeous makie.
