This is an antique Japanese Imari vase in an unusual shape, about 6-1/4" high, 6-1/2" wide. The decoration is unsual, as well as the shape. The vase dates to about 1880, during the Meiji Period. The condition is good, no major cracks or chips. There is some minor rubbing in the gold around the body, and it looks like there are a couple of minor repairs at the rim. This would make a beautiful display piece on a table or in a cabinet.P ayment is due within two days of the auction. Residents of New York are subject to sales tax.
