JEAN JACQUES de BOISSIEU (1736-1810) well listed French painter and etcher, one of the most accomplished print makers working in France, he sometimes etched after another masters picture but also made his own designs. I am unsure which this one is, it is certainly a fine etching with much detail. Quite a large plate, measuring 12 inches by 8 or 315mm x 205, plus the margins. On soft wove paper. Datable to c 1790?.Alas it has a few problems which may need restoration...note... this is not a print in fine condition...the main problem is a couple of holes in centre top sky (see photo) a couple of crinkles close to edge, another small hole & abrasion left edge (see photo, next to tent) a small repaired tear at right edge, 2 minor browning marks in sky. Shame about the condition as it is a beautiful impression printing with nice dark free flowing lines, worth rescuing.
