Jewish Judaica antique book of Esther 18-19th century? Antique Esther Megillah, undated but clearly very old. The Book of Esther is one of the books of the Hebrew Bible . The Book of Esther or the Megillah is the basis for the Jewish celebration of Purim . Its full text is read aloud twice during the celebration, in the evening and again the following morning. Good condition for its age. Several tears, as seen in the pictures, some stains and discolorations. 42 cm/16.5 in. tall approx.
