Up for auction is this pair of wax museum heads of former president John F. Kennedy and wife Jacqueline Kennedy. These heads were purchased from an antique store about three years ago. We have no history on these items except for the information inscribed on the lower back neck of both pieces. They look to be from an artist named R. Baker from 1964 or 1965. From what we can tell, the information written on the back of JFK's neck reads: JF Kennedy 19-39-65 (?) R. Baker. On the back of Jackie's it reads: Jackie Kennedy R. Baker 1964. The JFK bust has punched in human hair, eyebrows, and eyelashes. It also has beautiful glass eyes. The Jackie bust has a black wig and vintage cream-colored hat. Both busts are in good shape for being over 40 years old; however, t is some wear and tear to both busts. The JFK bust has lost some eyebrow hair and eyelashes plus t is some cracking to the wax at the base of the front neck area. Please see photo. The Jackie bust has some areas of roughness to the wax on the face and jawline as well as a moderate-sized piece of wax missing from the bottom lip portion at the back of the piece. Please see photo. Jackie's head is foam-filled. JFK's head has shredded paper inside. Even with the minor flaws, both busts display quite nicely. Both busts do come with stands. Both busts are great pieces of historical read more
