PLEASE SCROLL DOWN BELOW DESCRIPTION TO SEE ALL PICTURES I purchased these Johnson part number 167-4 75 PF Single Section Air Variable Capacitors in a lot of NOS parts from my former employer 23 years ago when they were closing up shop, a large OEM of electronic components and assemblies who did much work for the US Government during WW2 and throughout the later years. These capacitors were ordered as replacements in the early 1970s for some of their custom-made in-house test equipment and at the time were out of production and specially ordered but are now listed by Viking (Cardwell) who acquired Johnson. For specs see /PAGES/jcm167series.html The specs are gone from this website, here are the dimensions: Shaft diameter 1/4", thread size 3/8-24 (I think), thread length 5/16", shaft length 1/2" from mounting thread, square ceramic plate 1-3/8", depth from front of ceramic plate to back of plate rods 1-1/4", plate diameter 1-3/16". They are in excellent new condition and were bulk-packed in an egg crate when purchased. They feature nickel plating, ceramic steatite insulation, and silver-plated beryllium copper contact and 1500 Volt rating with a TC of +10 PPM/deg. C or better . The 1/4" diameter shaft extends approx. 1/2" beyond the mounting thread and is also slotted to use as a trimmer.They will be an excellent tuning capacitor read more
