~ "NOSEY" JACK IN THE BOX DOLL ~ Presented for your consideration is this neat old toy. The toy is a two piece set. T is a wooden box with graphics on each panel. The top opens up to reveal a doll. The doll is made out of composition with spring legs and is tucked down in the box until the lid is sprung open. The doll's nose grows longer when the knob on the back of the head is turned, "TRUTH" or "FALSEHOOD". The nose works well. The panel on the front of the box reads the following, "WHEN NOSEY TELLS A FALSEHOOD HIS NOSE GROWS VERY TALL. WHEN HE'S GOOD AND TELLS THE TRUTH IT WILL OF COURSE GET SMALL!" The other panels show "EARSEY", and "TAILSEY". The back panel reads, "A JONTHAY JOYMAKER Jonthay 166 Duane St. N.Y.C.". In very good condition. T is some crazing on the doll's head. The doll measures approximately 10 1/2" tall when standing. The box measures 4 1/4" square x 6" tall with the lid closed.
