This listing is for a New York Yankees New Era Official On-Field fitted baseball cap, size 7 3/8, that has been signed by former New York Yankees starting pitcher, David Wells. David played for nine different teams during 21 seasons in the majors from 1987 - 2007. He was a three-time All-Star, won 239 regular season games during his career, and played on two World Series championship teams. However, David is probably best known for pitching a perfect game for the Yankees against the Minnesota Twins on May 17, 1998. David signed this cap with a silver paint pen across the bill of the cap, and included his perfect game inscription to his autograph. This is a unique piece that you will rarely find offered on Ebay, and is a must for any Yankees fan, David Wells fan or collector of perfect game memorabilia David's autograph has been determined to be authentic according to JSA, one of the leading sports autograph authentication companies in the business. I have included a photograph of the certification card that was given to me by JSA. A JSA sticker is affixed to the underside of the bill of the cap.
