Here's a monarch among butterflies.As in, royalty. For this butterfly brooch's hues are a princely purple, a color associated with monarchies (although it is also as bright and pretty as a real monarch butterfly!).Showcasing a pair of ravishing violet-blue margarita crystals, and a range of colors from royal purple to red violet, this butterfly brooch is a famous Juliana (DeLizza & Elster) design, and is featured in a few books, including the latest reference book, "Juliana Jewelry, The Last Generation".It's fairly large, at 2 3/8" x 2 1/2". The fancy flower-shaped margarita crystals are the focal point of the butterfly's two top, larger wings. They glow a bright blue in the center, and flash blue-violet hues all around; their pointy tips are accented with tiny aurora borealis crystals.The rest of the butterfly wings is artfully decorated with skinny navette and round crystals.
