This is, as show n, a terrific June 23, 1939 Presidential Appointment Document signed by President Franklin D. Roosevelt and Postmaster General James A. Farley. Document appoints Marguerite E. Tryon as Postmaster at Croydon in the County of Bucks, State of Pennsylvania . Document measures about 16 x 14 and has some age related soiling and staining upon it as shown. Left hand lower side has the old embossed U.S. Post Office Seal. Ink signatures are crisp and clear. A very nice piece of presidential history in lower Bucks County, Pennsylvania just as World War Two was about to begin some two months later in Europe. Thanks for looking.
