Stunning, Mindt Conditon K P M Porcelain, Hand Painted, Covered Butter dish, lat 19th or early 20th century. Dish is in all original conditon, hand painting is bright and unfaded, clear glaze is thick and glossy. Overglaze gold is thick, lustrous and unworn. Backstamped underglaze with "K P M" and "D" plus the faint blue line and a tiny trade mark. No damage: no chips, no dings, no cracks, no lines. Diameter of base plate is 7 1/4". If you hold the lid by the finial and tap with your finger it has a bell like ring. Gorgeous dish is even prettier in person. The ring rinial has raised ridges. The base has scalloped edge, the lid has raised decoration. This is a magnificent piece of K P M in an unusual form, great hand painting, and superb, original conditon.
