Here is a mischievous Irish Leprechaun that has magically grown horns and changed from green to red to join the devils' nights of carousing. They will enjoy drinking, lewd jestures, crude jokes, boistrous shouts and laughter. Are you ready to go? Jump on the wagon. This red devil has large horns and a leprechauns' thick eyebrow and beard. This piece of art is a whiskey jug that is made in the southern tradition of Devil faces incorporated into the making of the jug. This jug is a tad over 10.5" tall and approx. 7.5" wide from ear to ear. It is made of stoneware and is a completely functional bottle. This whiskey jug was fired in a high fire gas kiln to cone 10. It has a food safe oxblood red glaze on it. In keeping with southern face jug tradition, the eyes and teeth are made of porcelain. The artist's logo skull stamp on the back is also porcelain. This is a unique, one-of-a-kind, piece of folk art, made on a potter's wheel. It is in perfect condition. It is fresh hot out of the kiln. The artist's name and the number of the jug are carved into the bottom. The maker is Karen Labarga, a well known folk artist living in Plantation, Florida.
