Here is a wicked stoneware whiskey jug for your shopping pleasure. This whiskey jug was turned on a potter's wheel and then the details of a devil were added. Ash was added to my oxblood red glaze to get this subtle and interesting result. This devil has a mustache and beard. He has a fierce, snarling face, vibrant green eyes; and a glaze run at his right horn that looks like he is bleeding from a recent fight. This jug was fired in a gas reduction kiln to cone 10 bending. It is functional. It is 9" high and approx. 8.5" wide, from nose to stamp. The eyes, teeth, and the artist logo skull stamp on the back are made of porcelain. Under the stamp, the words "KEEP OUT" are carved into the clay. This is a one-of-a-kind hand made artwork. The artist signature and the number are carved into the bottom. This jug is made by me, Karen Labarga, a folk artist living in Plantation, Florida. Please notice my other listing. I do not put two together in one box. The surcharge brings the cost up to the price of 2 boxes and the chance of breakage increases. If you have any questions please ask. Thank you, all my buyers and bidders.
