Custom made by Larson Forge & Finish. The blade was hand forged from a "Nicholson" brand file worked to about 90%, hardened, oil quenched and tempered to 550f. The blade is than hand finished and polished. It is 12 1/16 inches long overall and 6 7/8 inch from tip to handle and .164 in. thick at the handle. It is convex ground with a zero edge. It has our makers mark etched into the blade. This knife was hand made by my son working in his forge shop in Meadowlands Minnesota and is one of a kind. is Tanto style knife with South American Goncalo Alves scales The steel is most likely 1095 having once been a file. The handle mounting hardware is inlet into the wood and it is incredibly sharp, even the slant tip. This knife is relatively thin, as far as our knives go. It is one of the last "file" knives until we come across another old loggers estate sale.Keep this knife oiled or waxed and it will last a lifetime. Made by a skilled craftsman out of the best materials. The quality of the work and materials on this knife is second to none. CHECK OUR FEEDBACK! We have sold knives to some very nice folks.
