The hassle-free way to eBay! SHIPPING PAYMENT RETURNS ABOUT US You are bidding on an original 1950s Bird Lounge chair. This design icon was designed by renowned sculptor Harry Bertoia for Knoll. This oddly shaped chair is surprisingly very comfortable. It is made of welded steel and the cover can be removed for easy cleaning. I am not sure exactly what the fabric is but it appears to be like micro suede. Steel has some rust and weld has come apart in some places (please see detail photo). Note: I just received an email from a fellow eBayer who has more knowledge about this chair. As I mentioned above, t are places w the weld has come apart. According to him, it is important that the chair be repaired before use. You can see from the detail photo w it needs to be welded together. Please bid accordingly. Measures: 38.5w x 33d x 40.25h inches Bertoia was a student at the Cranbrook Academy of Art together with Charles and Ray Eames and Florence Knoll.
