Former diplomat selling off his small collection of rare and authentic African art. . . From the owner: This is an old and used basket/carrying case from the Kubatribe in the DR Congo. It has some deterioration at one of the bottom corners(see photo) and one corner has also been indented (see photo). The basket consists of a tightly woven wide weave from cane and four rope handles have been woven into the four sides. A larger rope is used as a latch and means for carrying or hanging the basket. It is in very good condition for an old basket. This piece measures approximately 13.75 inches (35 cm) long, 6 inches (15 cm) wide, and stands 6 inches (15 cm) high. Piece is sold 'as is'. Sale is final. Finally, p lease take a look at my other eBay listings and don't hesitate to contact me if you have questions. Check my feedback and bid with confidence.
