Renata Scotto, Carlo Bergonzi, Mario Zanasi Eliahu Inbal 1970Verona Sound Quality: This is a very good performance of La traviata. Renata Scotto excels in the title role. She never lets the size of the Arena di Verona intimidate her and achieves wonderful intimate moments in the Scene with Germont and her last act aria. Carlo Bergonzi is perfect in this role, singing with stunning lyricism in his first aria and then mustering spinto reserves in the confrontation scene in Act II. The sound is Excellent
