LAPPONIA, Finland Rare Vintage Glass & Silver Necklace. Fully Marked, 1978. Founded in Finland in 1960, LAPPONIA Jewelry has always followed its bold intuition. Björn Weckström, who designed the first collection, established a new sculpture-like jewelry, drawing his inspiration from the shape and matte surface of gold nuggets from Finnish Lapland. LAPPONIA's trademark, unique motifs and genuine design, was born. This is a LAPPONIA glass and silver necklace. It is made of a pendant and a chain. The pendant has the characteristic design combining shinny and polished surfaces with uneven lines and curves; it has a glass in the lower part of it. The chain is made of several silver wires joined together by circular links. The clasp is in perfect working condition and is of hook. It was crafted in Finland in 1978. It is in excellent condition. It’s a really amazing work of the 20 th Century. The necklace measures: 28 ½ in. The pendant measures: 2 1/8 X ¾ in It is fully marked as follows: 925, the National mark (heart and crown), LAPPONIA’s mark, 925, A8, LAPPONIA . They weight: 31.5 gr. This piece is in excellent vintage condition, it has only some minor surface scratches and dents common to any worn vintage piece. Look at the photos so you can detail it.
