Offered here is a pair of beautiful vintage Big Eye Bradley Geisha Dolls in vintage kimono on stands; they hold vintage paddle Japanese fans in their hands and are each 17 inches tall. These dolls have matching obi (kimono tie belts) and matching hair pieces (vintage fabric flowers with pearls), so they make a wonderful set. Their faces are three dimensional with painted eyes and lips. They feature the "big eyes" of the Bradley type geisha dolls. There is an original paper sticker from the reknowned Shirokiya Department store on the base of one of the dolls. These dolls are quite old, probably dating from the late 1950s to early 1960s but are in exceptional condition for their age. The Shirokiya stamp makes them highly collectible. They both have "up do" hair styles with the same style bangs and soft curls framing their faces. Their hair is a soft reddish copper brown. This style of hair was very popular in the late 5os and early 60s.Their kimono are in wonderful condition, no tears, rips or fading. They have been part of my personal collection for many years. Their feet are plastic, which is true of these dolls, and they wear geta or Japanese slippers on their feet. The doll stands are black painted wood. No other props in the photos are included in this listing. Payment thru PayPal is required at the close of the listing.A 1955 read more
