Large Canadian Inuit Soapstone Figural Carving Description : Up for auction we have a Genuine Eskimo Inuit Soapstone Figural Carving.This carving is wonderfully done out of a dark black/grey soapstone by Inuit Artist Moses Okalik.This is a very large and heavy sculpture...it weights 9LBS and measures 10 Inches in height, 4 inches in width and 6 inches in length.The bottom is signed with Moses Okalik, and more which I can not made out. The Government of Canada Authentication Igloo sticker is attached.This is 1 of 3 Inuit Sculptures I will be listing....they are all very impressive!A perfect addition to any Authentic Soapstone Collection! Condition: Excellent....normal wear of the soapstone, this piece does have 2 slight dings on the top corner and bottom corner...see last 2 close up pictures.
