This is a large copper jardiniere/planter decorated around the girth with a scrolling band of palmate leaves; more stylized leaves surround base. Skilfully brazed junctions in the metal can clearly be seen...Rolled rim for added strength. An altogether delightful thing in excellent condition. 17cm. high, 22.5cm. internal diameter at mouth. Kashmir, India. Later 19th to early 20th century.
