RARE, LARGE De Porceleyne Fles - Royal Delft - Tile - 1924 This auction is for a large tile made by the famous Royal Delft (De Porceleyne Fles) factory in 1924 (year letters "AT"). The tile measures 10 1/8" x 8". It is marked with the standard Royal Delft underglaze blue marks, a paper Joost Thooft & Labouchere price tag and the painted, and the underglaze initials of Johannes van Lijnschooten, the Royal Delft artist who painted it. The scene depicts a woman knitting along the shore with ships at sea in the background. It is copied from an original painting by David Adolph Constant Artz, Dutch Hague School artist. The tile is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks or repairs or any kind whatsoever. This is a beautiful tile and, as a result, your satisfaction is guaranteed.
