's a very nice well made combat knife that was made in Germany. This one is near mint, in fact the nicest I have seen or owned. The last one I had saw heavy use (none of the deep etch left and a barely visible makers stamp with a handle that was so worn down that it could have been an entirely different piece of wood). It also had an Army rank and name on the front of the sheath. Although I was never in the Army I believe these were sold in the PX system in Germany and elsew during Vietnam (the last war the we won and the media lost for us). This knife is near mint but does have some very light sharpening and light scratches on one side. I don't think these show up very good in the pics but I try to be overly critical so that you will like very much what you buy from me. This may come from doing so many appraisals...I'm not sure. But the proof is in my feedback and reputation elsew OAL is 13 5/16" with the blade at 8 1/4". The massive high carbon blade is very nice. The fit is great (see the pics). It has not been cleaned or buffed and has no rust or any other damage. I am guessing that it may have been wiped a little on the edge bevel but it is very hard to see and only conjecture on my part.
