We are delighted to offer you this simply stunning, vintage, large sterling silver and beautiful turquoise gemstone saddle style ring, in excellent vintage condition! The ring is currently a size 8 3/4 , and could be sized up or down, 2 whole sizes by your jeweler , if need be. The ring was most likely designed with Sir in mind, as it was created by a very talented artist in Nepal, w folks are smaller in stature and frame that Europeans. But, if the ring fits, wear it! The ring is what is termed a 'saddle' style, as the ends raise up, like a western saddle. It is very comfortable to wear, too! The filigree work is just incredible...graceful scrolls, fine beading and flourishes, applied to a solid silver base. The stone is nothing to sneeze at, either! It looks very much like highly prized Damale turquoise, with its greenish hue and cell-like arrangement of blue and black. But , Damale turquoise came from a mine in southwestern America, closed long ago! But, the artist might have traded something for it at a local bazaar- who can say? The stone is securely set in a high bezel, which is adorned by 2 sizes of fine braided or twisted silver! The top measures a hair over 1 1/8" north-to-south , and about 7/8" across. The shanks taper from about 1/2" to 3/16" in back. The ring weighs a hefty 16.7 grams, and is marked ' Made in Nepal',
