This lovely basket weave majolica basket is perfect for serving fresh baked bread, just warm the basket for a few minutes in the oven before serving. Or when not in use as a bread basket, this piece makes a perfect FRUIT basket as well. Either way, it is a beautiful and impressive centerpiece at mealtime or anytime. This large basket measures an ample 14" long by 11.5" wide and is about 4.5" deep. The surface is glazed a deep dark green and decorated with hand painted strawberries and leaves. Heavy, sturdy and substantial, this beautiful majolica pottery basket is in PERFECT condition.
