This listing is for a beautiful and finely made Chinese porcelain baluster vase dating to the 19th century. The vase is molded in baluster form with double rings on the shoulder and midway on the neck and having an unusual squared off top rim. Applied to each side of the neck are handles in the form of ruyi scepters. The entire exterior is finished with a rich and vibrant blue glaze that stops evenly just above the foot. It is a large vase standing an impressive 23 inches (58.5cm) tall and displays wonderfully. The vase does list to one side and there is a chip at the top of one ruyi head. Finally there is a very small drill hole on the side near the base from when it was made into a lamp and some faint lines on the base. These have all been pictured for accuracy. Just a beautiful and impressive piece of Chinese glazed porcelain from the 19th century.
