Up for bid in this "NO RESERVE" auction is this LARGE size .800 pure coin Silver and Gold filled pocket watch in running condition. This watch is very nice considering it's estimated age of over 100 years old. The bi-metal case is in great condition and all surfaces shine like a mirror. All covers snap in place securely and the hinges are in good condition. The double sunk dial is very impressive and in excellent condition with no chips or visible hairline cracks. The photo does show a few small dirty marks on the face but, I guarantee you that they will clean off. The dial also has the unusual characteristic of having the outer part smooth and shiney while the center and the second hand area having a Matte or frosted appearance. The delicate Gold filligree hands are just beautiful. The high precision Jeweled movement looks very clean and is stem wound and pin set. This watch actually has two bezels which are gold filled or plated. The first one holds the lens. The lens is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or visible scratches and is possibly a new replacement. The second bezel has a pure .800 silver medallion installed in it and the main case of the watch is also silver colored though I dont know if it is also pure silver or not.
