This is a surprisingly scarce and highly desirable copy of the first US edition of D. H. Lawrence's novel : AARON'S ROD . This was the book that caused a serious feud with Norman Douglas, whom Lawrence fiercely caricatured in one of the book's major characters. That friendship didn't end well, ultimately so many of Lawrence's relationships foundered. Hardcover in original blue cloth binding is slightly faded at the spine, although the lettering is still legible, (see pics), published by Thomas Seltzer, NYC, first edition of 1922. In decent condition for its age, no marks or writing inside. Media rate shipping is $4.00 within the USA, international bidders are welcome (shipping will cost $24.95). Early titles by Lawrence still highly sought after, and this one is a must for any serious collection of works by this renowned British writer. "As shown" condition, light wear and signs of aging, much sharper image than what you can see here. No reserve -- !!!
