Fresh from a Lexington NC estate that had at least 3 generations that lived in the same homeplace and had a huge amount of early and unusual antiques, this is 2 leather advertising bank snap purses. 1 (the smaller one) is from the Commercial and Savings Bank Lexington N. C. The writing on it is somewhat faded but mostly readable. It says they has $100,000 in assets. See photos 1 and 3. It is 4" X 3"The other (the longer one) is marked but the lettering is almost completely faded out. I think it says Bank of Lexington, This one has a double pouch top. See photo 2. It is 5 5/8" X 3".The Commercial Savings Bank was started in 1907 and this item is probably from between that time and WW I. Both are in Good condition, as shown. US Buyer pays $2.99 shipping.
