I won't speculate on a date for this fine old piece but I will say it is the real deal. You just can't fake this kind of wonderful patina. The pouch is flat now from being stored empty but is still soft and flexible. With it stuffed full (as shown in pictures below), it expands to 2 inches thick. It is 7 inches tall and 6 inches wide. The belt loop will accommodate a belt up to 5-1/2 inches thick. All the stitching looks great except for a bit on the knife sheath (shown below) that has come undone. This built in knife sheath will take a blade up to 4-1/2 inches long. It is shown with an early Western Knife that is not included (it is at auction this week however). The inside is clean and stain free. This is just a VERY nice, vintage piece. It will make a wonderful addition to a collection or a great accessory to the Mountain Man/Black Powder enthusiast's outfit!
