1981, Retail 70.00 -Collector Plate named "The Pride" by artist, Alan D'Estrehan and commissioned to Royal Cornwall Ltd. in 1981. This is the 2nd plate in D'Estrehan's "Legendary Ships of the Seas" series. It is 9 1/4" diameter and in MINT condition. Mr. D'Estrehan passed away in the late 1980's. The plate will be shipped in protective plastic, in a decorative plate box and will include a high quality display stand. The original box and plastic wrapping are unavailable. ABOUT THE SHIP: The story of the Pride is a tale of courage and redemption. For it is also the story of a notorious buccaneer known as Jean Laffite who renounced piracy to help the United States in its struggle for freedom during the war of 1812.
