This auction is for 7 HB volumes of "The Legends of the Jews," by Louis Ginzberg. Published by The Jewish Publication Society of America. The books are in decent condition. Books have bumping, dust soil and fading to the covers. Spines have GILT lettering. Bindings are very good. Pages have light tanning and are unmarked. Previous owner wrote a small "I" at the top left corner inside each front cover. VOL. 1 = Bible Times and Characters from the Creation to Jacob, 10th Impression, 1954, 424 pgs.VOL. 2 = Bible Times and Characters from Joseph to the Exodus, 8th Impression, 1964, 375 pgs.- There is a blue stain on the bottom edge. VOL. 3 = Bible Times and Characters from the Exodus to the Death of Moses, 4th Impression, 1954, 481 pgs.VOL. 4 = Bible Times and Characters from Joshua to Esther, 6th Impression, 1954, 448 pgs.VOL. 5 = Notes to Volumes I and II from the Creation to the Exodus, 7th Impression, 1955, 446 pgs.VOL. 6 = Notes to Volumes III and IV from Moses in the Wilderness to Esther, 4th Impression, 1959, 490 pgs.VOL. 7 = Index, 1938, 612 pgs.
