We are pleased to offer this rare LENOX BOUILLON SET for auction. This authentic 1920's set is a portion of our family's heritage that we are offering to interested collectors of fine AMERICAN MADE china. The cup's colors are cobalt blue, embossed gold and ivory.and measures 4 1/2" W and 4 "H, not including the beautiful gold handles. The saucer is beautiful on it own, It has a wide gold band outer rim with adamesque etchings, (similar to the cup) a wide cobalt band with two smaller gold bands on a ivory base. The saucer measures 6" wide. measures. The reverse side of both the bouillon cup and saucer is marked Dulin and Martin, Washington, D.C., the green Lenox logo, used in the 20's, as well as the pattern number 633/J-19-K. This set is in very excellent condition no chips, cracks or crazing.. My research into this china indicates that this pattern is authentic. It was not made in regular production, the pattern tfore not given a pattern name, only a number,633/J-19-K. It was acquired 80 years ago by our family in 1926/27 and has been in our sole possession for over 30 years. We have used it carefully and sparingly for our very formal dinner parties. I found it interesting and coincidental the Mrs. Edith Wilson, President Woodrow Wilson's wife ordered the first American-made china service for the White House in 1918. According to read more
