We recently acquired a huge set of Lenox China that was sold through Tiffany & Co. many years ago. We will be offering pieces on ebay for collectors of such fine china. This set is pattern number 86, but t is no pattern name. My research indicates that this pattern was discontinued in the 1920's. The set is an ivory color with gold trim. The pieces are marked with a green Lenox wreath mark, and underneath is printed "Tiffany & Co." Up for auction are 3 pieces that may not all go together but we are selling them as a single lot. The first is an unusual oval underplate (#1106) which is 10" long and 6" across. The second is a double handle oval bowl (#1508) which is 7 1/2" long and 4 1/4" across. The third is an oval lid which doesn't exactly fit on top of the oval bowl but frankly it didn't any of the other pieces from this original set either. Nevertheless, I'm selling these 3 pieces as a single auction and they are all in very good condition and priced accordingly. A note on condition: As stated in my first paragraph, this is an old set of fine china. It came from a local estate, and surely it's owners were proud to use it for entertaining. Most of the pieces will have some minor rubbing to the gold trim, and some will have light surface (utensil) scratches. If such wear is more prevalent, I will note it in my description of the individual piece or pieces being auctioned, so please read each description carefully.
