A very nice, very lightly run, K-Line # 3017 NYC Die-Cast 4-6-2 Steam Engine with whistle Tender for O/027 gauge 3-rail made in 2001 as part of a NYC 027 train set. Works great with Lionel, MTH RailKing, Williams and other O gauge, 3 rail trains.The engine features a "maintenance free" can motor, 2 traction tires, electronic reversing with reversing lock-out switch (Fwd-Neutral-Rev) , conventional transformer control, puffing smoke unit and headlamp. The NYC tender features an electronic steam whistle, rear light, dual electrical pick-ups and an operating magnetic coupler on the rear.***Please note that a transformer (or separate) whistle/horn control is required to activate the whistle***I lubed the gears & rollers and then briefly tested this beautiful engine & tender on my layout and the motor, smoke unit, reversing action, headlamp, tender light and whistle all worked great!This engine did not come with an individual box but I'll provide a copy of the instructions and I'll wrap & pack with care prior to shipment.I will ship the day after I receive payment and I will discount shipping charges for shipments I can combine.Shipping covers the lower 48 of the USA or APO/FPO.
