A super clean, never run (except my test run), K-Line 3017 NYC Die-Cast 4-6-2 Steam Engine & Whistle Tender for O/027 gauge 3-rail made in 1999 as part of a NYC Steam set. Works great with other Lionel, MTH RailKing, Williams, etc trains.The engine features a die-cast shell, metal wheels & gears, a "maintenance free" can motor, 2 traction tires, conventional transformer control with electronic reversing & reversing lock-out switch (Fwd-Neutral-Rev) , Seuthe' smoke unit and headlamp. The NYC whistle tender features a metal frame, real-air whistle, rear light which is on with track power and operating coupler on the rear.I checked the traction tires, lubed the gears & rollers and then briefly tested this beautiful engine & tender on my layout and the motor, smoke unit, reversing action, whistle, headlamp and tender light all worked fine!**Note: A transformer or separate whistle/horn control is required to activate the tender whistle sound*****Note: In response to questions I have included the last photo which shows a generic K-Line starter steam engine with a Lionel starter steam engine.
